"Eyes on Jesus" reached the conclusion of Matthew's Gospel yesterday, ending with Jesus' powerfully assuring words:
"And surely I am WITH you always, to the very end of the age."
Those are words fit for a whole lifetime!
They are also words that carried the disciples themselves into the adventures of the succeeding years as the Lord himself established his church, drawing people into the kingdom from near and far.
So, we are going to launch into that journey, also, by plunging into the Book of Acts, starting tomorrow.
For those of you who have been reading this blog on Facebook for several years, you will realize that I am drawing on a series from two years ago. It's good material, well worth going through again, but it will also clear my schedule some as I am in the process of getting another book ready for publication. It will be titled "Eyes on Jesus: The Christmas Chronicles," and will trace the wonder of Jesus' coming by experiencing it through the eyes of some of those who were actually there. Hopefully the book will be ready for Advent 2023 - please pray to that end!
So, tomorrow brings us to ACTS 1:1-11.
In the meantime, continue to soak in these powerful words:
"And surely I am WITH you always, to the very end of the age."
